Well my battery in my MacBook Pro has been acting really strange. Not holding it’s charge and now it says it has a lot of battery then out of the blue it shuts off w/ no warning. Its been a few weeks since I have even seen the low battery warning. I did a bunch of research last night found out you get this problem if you have your laptop plugged in all the time. You’ve been warned!! For the last 3 weeks I have not been taking my laptop w/ me everywhere I go & it’s been plugged in at home. I tried to calibrate the battery but it failed cuz I wouldn’t get the low battery warning. Found another solution reset the SMC. This seems to work. I’m writing this w/ 18 min left on my battery. I’m waiting to see if I get the warning. Hope so. 16m . . . YES!!!! 9m left and I get the warning. I think things are fixed. Better plug in now!!

Mary Craft, from Wealth for the Righteous, needed a mailing postcard. We took the information & layout of the 1/4 pg ad I just finished for her and turned it into a 5×7 postcard & added a back. It’s so nice when you can morph one design into several different sizes. Sent proof off, will hear back soon . . .

Tyler, from MindShift Media, & I share a great client, River Forest Financial. Tyler called needing a DVD front & sleeve design for RFF. I took some old artwork from past jobs to keep their look consistent and came up with this. They were very pleased.

Denise, from Parent Approved, called needing a mailing postcard to get her GRANT information out there to the public. We went w/ a 4 x 6″ size to cut down on price. It turned out very nice, bright and very noticeable colors. When creating a mailing piece you want to keep in mind you are competing against all the junk mail out there. MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOTICED!!

Sasha had an old Microsoft Word document of his Global Entertainment Productions (Moscow Circus) letterhead, and needed revisions. I made a PDF of the Microsoft Word document hoping to be able to open into Illustrator to see if anything was editable. No such luck, complete flattened image. So I had to recreate the letterhead from scratch. Went pretty well. We ended up designing 2 version, one for him & another for Lena. We also added 2nd sheets at the end of the project. Once all the designs were approved I made new Microsoft Word templates so Sasha & Lena could use at home.

Mary Craft, of Wealth for the Righteous Resource Center, called in needing some advertisements for a church she is going to advertise with. We ended up taking the information from some recent works to create two 1/4pg ads & a 1/2pg horizontal ad.

I’ve gotten a lot done since the last time I checked in. Finished up Wealth for the Righteous Advertisements, finished Hannah’s logos changes, made some new business cards for River Forest Financial, re-translated Hose Solutions Boreline Brochure & Install Manual into German, recreated & made new improvements to Moscow Circus letterhead & created a new postcard for Parent Approved. Will post samples of above jobs soon.

I have been using InkJetSuperStore.com for a few years now to order laser toner & inkjet ink. I placed my order on an accident late last night. I left a message & emailed my concern & changes to the order. Called this morning & they already cancelled my order & placed a new one w/ the exact changes I asked. Thats awesome customer service. I totally recommend them. Stop paying outrageous store prices. I’ve never had a problem w/ their ink. If i’m not pleased w/ something they always fix.
